Dear Visitor,
This weekend, November 5th and 6th is Seafood Festival in our little town, a time when the town fills up with visitors and the locals all turn out for the big weekend long party at Battery Park around the marina there. Arts and Crafts booths, a midway with rides and games, non-stop entertainment for two days, games, contests, the Blessing of the Fleet, the Seafood Festival Parade, and tons of good fresh local seafood. What's not to like?
We'll be here all weekend hosting a party of our own in the Green Door. Amy has been busy painting and all our other artists are bringing in new items daily. Stop in and say hello while you visit our town and the Seafood Festival.
If you can't make the Seafood Festival, then perhaps you can plan to visit us a little later in the month. The day after Thanksgiving, a day known cynically in larger cities as "Black Friday" is quite different here. It is "Light Up Night" in Apalachicola. The shops will all stay open late, the streets will be lined with luminaries, carolers will walk the streets, Santa will arrive on a shrimp boat and the town will be filled with the Christmas Spirit. Join us for a festive and fun evening, Friday November 26.
Thanks for your interest in The Green Door,
Amy and the Staff of the Green Door in Apalachicola
